An evocative and enchanting story of homecoming
Being dragged by her mother back to the family village thousands of miles away is no fun for 13-year-old Nasreen. In the monsoon rain, surrounded by wagging tongues of relatives and not being able to text friends, the mystical power of henna leads to unexpected events. Based on real stories from Muslim women this is an evocative and enchanting story of homecoming,
adventure, fear and joy for a girl and her mother.
Based in Manchester, Rasa’s work has toured extensively throughout the UK. Their acclaimed show CURRY TALES became an international hit, and was also broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

‘* * * * An incomparable story teller’ The Guardian on SHADES OF BROWN

‘Astonishingly moving…rarely have I seen such talent or such intimate contact with the pulse of this nation’
The Independent on CURRY TALES
