Doctor Faustus
08 September 10 - 09 October 10

By Christopher Marlowe
Christopher Marlowe's STUNNING and SAVAGE tragedy
"I do repent; and yet I do despair;
Hell strives with grace within my breast:
What shall I do to shun the snares of death?"
When Doctor Faustus' desire for power and knowledge leads him to conjure up the demon Mephistopheles, he finds himself offered the ultimate bargain: he will be granted everything he desires for 24 years, but at the end of that time will have to hand his soul over to the devil. So begins a hedonistic journey in time and space as Faustus turns the world into his playground. But wherever he goes the clock ticks down to his final damnation, and he is followed by the shadow of his infernal bargain in Christopher Marlowe's STUNNING and SAVAGE tragedy.
