Mike Bartlett’s play COCK won the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre in 2010. He won the Old Vic New Voices award for ARTEFACTS (director James Grieve), the Writer’s Guild Tinniswood and Imison prizes for NOT TALKING, and was the Pearson Playwright in Residence at the Royal Court Theatre in 2007. His new play EARTHQUAKES IN LONDON premieres this summer at the National Theatre.
James Grieve is co-Artistic Director of Paines Plough. He was formerly co-Artistic Director of nabokov and Associate Director of the Bush Theatre. Recent directing credits include TINY VOLCANOES (Paines Plough / Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse) and THE WHISKY TASTER (Bush).
