About the Craft Shop

The Craft Shop was established in October 1981 within the Royal Exchange Theatre building. We sell quality handmade crafts by makers working across the U.K.

Commissions are welcome, from ring sizing for that special occasion to bespoke gifts. Greetings cards and stationery are also available.

Current Exhibitions

The Summer Show
6th July - 4th Sept

An exhibition of work inspired by summer time at the seaside, including Jo Fulham's appliqued textile accessories and Lindsey Mann's gingham and propeller jewellery. Displayed in glass cabinets along the colonnade.

Angels of the Garden
6th July - 7th Aug

Colourful artwork by Annette Toland, Bruce McLean and Dee Beale. Displayed in the Gallery Corner and in the shop.

Craft Workshops

Watercolour painting workshop has been re-scheduled to the autumn.

Own Art
The Craft Shop promotes crafts handmade in the UK and offers the Own Art *interest-free loan (*Typical 0% APR) for purchases between £100 and £2,000. For more details ask a member of staff or log on to the Arts Council's website at www.artscouncil.org.uk
