SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES
Work with schools and colleges forms a core element of Exchange Education. We have an established Schools Partnership Scheme and Membership Scheme for Teachers, and an ongoing partnership with Manchester University. We deliver a programme of workshops and events to accompany productions in the Theatre and The Studio, and also offer stand-alone tailor made sessions. For much of our work with the formal education sector we focus on the 10 districts of Greater Manchester. However, we also work with schools from across the UK, and with visiting students from overseas.

COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONSThe Royal Exchange Community Partnerships programme creates theatre-based projects in partnership with community groups from across Manchester. The scheme is designed to give participants real ownership of this extraordinary building. A major priority for the work is to reach people who may not otherwise feel that theatre is for them, and to bring together diverse groups and individuals - a true reflection of the environment in which the Royal Exchange exists.

EARLY YEARS GROUPS
Our work with Early Years groups aims to inspire very young children see the Theatre as an exciting, special place with coloured lights, exciting sounds and space to move - where stories are told and you can become whoever you want to be. We run an Early Years Partnership scheme offering one setting per year a free, tailor-made programme of creative activities. We are regional pathfinder partners for Earlyarts, the national training network for people working creatively with young children and we also offer stand-alone workshops to groups bringing children aged 2-5yrs to the Theatre for the first time.
